Privacy Policy

KitchenCircle · Last updated: June 2026

The short version: KitchenCircle doesn't collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Your recipes, family profiles, and ratings stay on your device.

What data the app stores

KitchenCircle stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Recipes — names, ingredients, instructions, and photos you add.
  • Family profiles — names and preference settings for family members.
  • Ratings — how each family member has rated each recipe.
  • Weekly plans — generated meal plans and any modifications you make.

Where your data goes

Nowhere. All data is stored locally on your device. KitchenCircle has no backend, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, and makes no network requests. There is no account system.

If you use iCloud Backup on your device, your app data may be included in that backup in the same way as any other app on your phone — this is controlled by your device settings, not by KitchenCircle.

Camera and photo library

KitchenCircle may request access to your camera or photo library to let you add images to recipes. This access is only used to select or capture photos within the app. No images are transmitted or shared.

On-device AI

Meal plan generation uses on-device machine learning. No data is sent to external AI services. Processing happens entirely on your device.

Data retention and deletion

All data is stored for as long as you keep the app installed. Deleting the app removes all associated data. You can also delete individual recipes, ratings, or family members from within the app at any time.

Children's privacy

KitchenCircle does not collect data from anyone. The family member profiles feature stores only a name on-device; no personal information about children is collected or transmitted.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
